Job summary

Datacom is seeking a Data Centre Technician for the Hamilton Kapua Data Centre. The role involves hands-on installation of customer equipment, cables and cabling infrastructure, and providing first level support within a 24x7 operations context.

You will complete the training programme, work alongside site leads to maintain high standards of operational delivery, adhere to health and safety requirements, and help manage data centre assets and customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work rotating day/night shifts.
• Able to troubleshoot customer and technical issues.
• Comfortable with heights and physical task requirements.
• Legally eligible to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Complete and contribute to the Data Centre training programme.
• Support the Data Centre Team with batch services and monitoring.
• Provide first level support and hands-on services to customers.
• Ensure health and safety requirements are adhered to.
