Job summary

Global Wave Group is seeking a motivated data analyst intern to support data cleaning, transformation, and reporting. You will handle data from multiple sources and assist in building dashboards in Excel, Power BI, or Tableau, under the guidance of the Head of Data.

The role welcomes fresh graduates with a Bachelor’s in IT, Finance, or related field. Strong Excel and SQL basics, some Python or R, and good communication in English and Mandarin will help you contribute to insights and annotations

• Proficient in Excel and SQL.

• Excellent English and Mandarin communication.

Reports to: Head of Data

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, transform, and organize data from multiple sources.
• Support data validation, quality assurance, and error-checking processes.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Conduct basic statistical analysis to identify trends and patterns.
• Assist in preparing data-driven insights and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team members to support ongoing projects and ad-hoc data requests.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, or related disciplines (fresh graduates are welcome).
• Proficient in Excel with a solid foundation in SQL.
• Familiar with data tools such as Python, R, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in both English and Mandarin.
• Internship or project experience in data analysis.
• Prior experience in a corporate or business environment.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of data privacy and security best practices.
