Job summary

Foodstuffs South Island Limited is seeking an experienced Dairy / Frozen / Liquor Assistant Manager for PAK’nSAVE Rolleston. This hands-on leadership role supports day-to-day operations across three sections, leading the team to keep shelves full, organized and ready for customers.

Qualifications

Previous supermarket experience is essential.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience is essential.
Experience in Dairy, Frozen and/or Liquor would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Supporting the Department Manager with the day-to-day running of Dairy, Frozen and Liquor.
Leading, supporting and motivating the team to achieve daily department targets.
Ensuring shelves are well stocked, faced up and presented to a high standard.
Monitoring stock levels and ensuring products are available for customers.
Maintaining high standards of product quality and stock rotation.
Planning and prioritising workloads to complete tasks efficiently.
Providing direction, coaching and support to team members.
Maintaining cleanliness, food safety and health and safety.
Providing excellent customer service and responding to customer needs.
Stepping up and taking ownership of the department in the Department Manager’s absence.
