Job summary

DEFEND, a NZ-based cybersecurity company, is seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Analyst to guard our clients’ digital environments. You will monitor threats, deliver actionable insights, educate users, and respond to incidents with precision and confidence.

In this role you’ll engage with internal teams, perform threat detection and incident response, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure rapid service delivery and accurate reporting across customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver security services by engaging with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Monitor security events and alerts to identify threats.
• Perform triage, investigation, and analysis to assess severity and impact.
• Escalate incidents and conduct threat scope analysis.
• Document findings and correlate threat intelligence for insights.
• Prepare customer reports for accuracy and clarity.
• Respond to threats with proper remediation processes.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Maintain documentation of security monitoring and incident response activities.
