Job summary

Enviro NZ is seeking a Cyber Security Manager to own and advance the company’s cyber security capabilities, aligning risk management with rapid growth and innovation. The role sits across governance, security operations and continual improvement, ensuring secure delivery of technology projects and supplier engagements.

You will coordinate security across internal teams and external providers, drive practical security roadmaps, and elevate security maturity while enabling business enablement

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in cyber security or related discipline.
• At least 7 years' experience in cyber security including leadership, governance, risk, security operations or senior advisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge across cyber risk, security operations, cloud, identity, endpoint and network security.
• Ability to develop and deliver a practical cyber security strategy, roadmap and improvement programme.
• Experience using recognised cyber security frameworks, ideally including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Strong risk-based judgement, balancing security controls with business needs.
• Experience coordinating security reviews, penetration testing and remediation.
• Ability to work with security partners, vendors and specialist providers and hold them to account.
• Experience coordinating cyber security incident response across internal teams and external providers.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex risks to executives and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Enviro NZ's cyber security capability, protecting systems, information, and services as the business grows.
• Coordinate security operations and incident response across internal teams and external providers.
• Provide security assurance across technology projects, procurement and significant changes.
• Help ensure security is considered in projects, suppliers, and day-to-day operations.
• Build cyber awareness across the organisation and enable business outcomes without undue roadblocks.
