Job summary

New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) invites a Principal Protective Security Risk Advisor - Cyber to strengthen cyber risk capability and lead complex assessments across critical services. You will guide certification and accreditation activities, influence secure-by-design outcomes, and help deliver resilient services for New Zealanders.

Based in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch or other locations, you will collaborate with project teams and governance forums to ensure risk decisions align

Qualifications

Lead cyber risk assessments across NZTA systems and services.
Provide expert risk advice using PSR, NZISM, ISO 31000.
Define risk-based security controls and artefacts.
Stakeholder engagement for accreditation outcomes.

Responsibilities

Present cyber security risks and recommendations to governance forums.
Use AI-assisted Security Risk Assessment development methods to enhance efficiency.
Contribute to improvements for the use of GRC tooling for risk evaluations.
Partner with project, business and technical teams to achieve accreditation outcomes.
