Job summary

ASB Bank in Auckland’s Albany Advice Centre is seeking a Customer Specialist to be the first point of contact for customers, helping with everyday banking needs and simplifying experiences through digital solutions.

You will build trusted relationships, have meaningful conversations, and refer customers to the right products and specialists to support their financial wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles such as retail, hospitality or banking is valued.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfort with using digital banking tools and learning new systems.

This role operates on a flexible roster across Monday to Sunday, offering variety, flexibility and the opportunity to support customers when they need us most.

Te Tūranga | The role

As a Customer Specialist, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers, helping them with their everyday banking needs while making banking simpler and easier through digital solutions.

You’ll build trusted relationships, have meaningful conversations, and identify opportunities to connect customers with the right products, services and specialists to support their financial wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Delivering exceptional customer service across a range of banking enquiries
• Supporting customers with digital banking tools and technology
• Assisting with account opening and customer onboarding
• Identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate solutionsReferring customers to specialist teams when required
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve great customer outcomes
• Maintaining strong risk and compliance standards in everything you do

Banking experience is beneficial but not essential. If you have transferable customer service skills and a desire to learn, we’d love to hear from you.
