Job summary

Snap Rentals is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Auckland (Mangere). This permanent full-time role requires rotating 7-day shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Earn $26.00–$29.00 per hour (gross) depending on experience and skills, with standard NZ tax implications.

Key duties include handling rental transactions, upselling options, processing contracts and payments, and ensuring vehicle safety checks. NZ Driver Licence and strong English skills are a must.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in front-line customer service, counter sales, or rental operations.
• Valid Full Class 1 New Zealand Driver Licence (or offshore equivalent convertible to NZ).
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible 7-day rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality customer service at the rental counter, managing vehicle check-ins and check-outs, and handling customer inquiries.
• Assess customer needs to recommend suitable vehicle options and upsell coverage and accessories.
• Process end-to-end rental documentation, including contracts, payments, and vehicle check sheets.
• Resolve customer issues proactively, escalating complex disputes to the Branch Manager when needed.
• Operate the courtesy shuttle van to provide safe airport transfers for arriving and departing customers.
• Conduct pre-rental vehicle inspections to verify safety and cleanliness, and perform light detailing when required.
• Maintain effective communication across the branch team to coordinate vehicle availability and scheduling.

Hourly rate band:from $26.00 to $29.00 per hour (gross) depending on experience and skills.
Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality customer service at the rental counter, managing vehicle check-ins, check-outs, and customer inquiries in accordance with company standards.
• Assess customer needs to recommend suitable vehicle options and convert counter up-selling opportunities (e.g., coverage options, accessories).
• Process end-to-end rental documentation, including executing contracts, collecting payments, and completing detailed vehicle check sheets.
• Resolve customer issues proactively, escalating complex disputes or incidents to the Branch Manager as required.
• Operate the company courtesy shuttle van to provide safe airport transfers for arriving and departing customers.
• Conduct pre-rental vehicle inspections to verify safety and cleanliness standards, performing light vehicle detailing/grooming when required.
• Maintain effective communication across the branch team to coordinate daily vehicle availability and scheduling.
