Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island is seeking a Customer Data Analyst on a 12-month fixed-term contract to turn complex data into actionable customer insights, guiding decisions and improving customer experiences across New Zealand’s grocery brands.

You will deliver data-driven recommendations, develop segmentation strategies and create dashboards while collaborating with internal teams and external partners to maximise value from customer data assets.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer analytics, insights, BI, or similar analytical roles.
• Strong analytical skills to identify trends and opportunities.
• Highly proficient with Tableau and data visualization.
• Strong SQL or other scripting language skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Collaborative; able to work across teams.
• Experience in retail, FMCG, loyalty or customer-focused environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer insights, marketing intelligence and data-driven recommendations that support business priorities.
• Analyse customer behaviour to identify opportunities for improved engagement and outcomes.
• Develop customer segmentation, targeting approaches and analytical solutions for marketing initiatives.
• Create dashboards, reports and visualisations that bring data to life.
• Work with internal teams and external partners to maximise data value.
• Support the optimisation and automation of customer data, reporting and insights.
• Measure the effectiveness of customer and marketing activity through data and analysis.
• Champion a customer-centric, insight-led approach across the business.
