Job summary

The Y North in Hamilton Recreation Centre is seeking a vibrant Permanent Part Time Customer Care Specialist to join our team. With a minimum of 22.75 hours per week, this role blends sport, fitness and service to our members.

You'll handle reception, drive friendly upsell of products and services, deliver excellent customer service, and support administration. Embrace a community-focused environment and contribute to the positive impact we create daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum six (6) months' sales experience.
• Keen interest in sport and fitness.
• Computer Savvy and competent in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with YMCA across cultures and ages.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Empathetic approach, respecting confidentiality and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Handle all reception services and customer queries while creating a welcoming environment.
• Confidently drive retail sales for the centre, upselling based on customer needs.

What will you be doing?

• Handle all reception services and customer queries whilst creating a welcoming and friendly environment
• Confidently drive retail sales for the centre, identifying opportunities to upsell products and services based on customer needs.
• Deliver excellence in customer service at all times to maximise customer satisfaction and retention
• Maximise cross-selling opportunities with all programmes offered at the Centre
• Ensure all administration tasks and data entry are performed in a timely and accurate manner

What experience/skills do you need?

• Minimum six (6) months' sales experience, with a demonstrated ability to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
• Keen interest in sport and fitness
• Computer Savvy and competent in Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work independently or work well in a team across all cultures and ages with YMCA
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
• Has an empathetic approach, respects confidentiality and the privacy of others.
