Job summary

Mercury NZ Limited is seeking a hands-on Salesforce specialist to join the Customer Platform Team on a fixed-term basis, covering parental leave for up to 13 months. You will configure and optimise Salesforce, collaborate with stakeholders, and help manage Sales Cloud and CPQ initiatives.

Your role emphasises a 'clicks not code' approach, strong data hygiene, and clear documentation, with flexibility to work from home part of the time.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Salesforce configuration and administration.
• Experience with Sales Cloud and CPQ is required.
• Must be a self-starter who can work independently while collaborating with the team.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Salesforce following best practices for security and data integrity.
• Collaborate with the Customer Platform Team to minimize technical debt and keep platform documentation up to date.
• Understand stakeholder needs and ensure solutions work for day-to-day users.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and streamline workflows.
• Provide end-user support and problem-solving guidance for Salesforce users.
• Participate in peer reviews, configuration checks and functional testing.

We're on the lookout for a Salesforce specialist to join our Customer Platform Team on a fixed-term basis, covering parental leave for up to 13 months.

This is a genuine hands-on Salesforce role. You'll be the go-to person configuring and optimising our Salesforce environment, working closely with the Customer business to keep pace with their evolving needs. Tāu e mahi ai | What you'll be doing

• Configuring and maintaining Salesforce, following best practice for security, data integrity, and a "clicks not code" approach
• Working alongside the Customer Platform Team to spot opportunities and steer clear of technical debt, while contributing to clear, up-to-date platform documentation
• Getting to know the day-to-day realities of our stakeholders, so your solutions actually work for the people using them
• Spotting ways to improve or streamline how things are done
• Supporting, coaching, and troubleshooting for end users so they get the most out of Salesforce and can problem-solve with confidence
• Identifying and resolving technical and functional issues as they come up
• Taking part in peer reviews, configuration checks, and functional testing, while picking up knowledge of other platforms along the way
• Solid hands-on experience configuring and administering Salesforce (essential), experience with Salescloud and a CPQ (preferred)
• A self-starter mindset – you can run with things independently, while still being a great team player
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with an eye for detail
• Clear communication – you can explain technical things simply, to technical and non-technical people alike
• A collaborative approach – you build relationships easily and put the team first
• Sound time management, with a focus on continuous improvement
• A business degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field is a bonus, not a must
