Job summary

Cumberland Early Education Centre in Hamilton North is seeking a Centre Support Teacher (Qualified) to join our dedicated team. The role involves supporting across the centre, with opportunities to take on planning, assessment, and curriculum delivery when needed.

You will be collaborating with multiple teaching teams to support tamariki across learning environments, ensuring inclusive, culturally responsive practice and positive learning outcomes for children.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) Level 7 or higher is required.
• Current First Aid certificate is required.
• Registration with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand is required.
• Experience supporting children’s social and emotional learning is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching support across the centre, collaborating with different teaching teams.
• Assist with planning, assessment, documentation and curriculum delivery when permanent teachers are absent.
• Possibly step into longer-term teaching responsibilities as needed.
• Create engaging learning environments reflecting the interests, strengths and needs of all tamariki.

CumberlandEarly Education Centre is a modern purpose-built centre located in Borman Road,Hamilton North. With five spacious rooms and expansive indoor and outdoor areas,we provide a welcoming environment where tamariki can learn, explore and grow.

Weare looking for a Centre Support Teacher to join our dedicated and passionate team.This is a varied role where you will provide teaching support across thecentre, working alongside different teaching teams and getting to know tamarikiacross our learning environments. At times, you may step into longer-term teaching responsibilities, including planning, assessment, documentation and curriculum delivery when permanent teachers are absent.

Notwo days will be the same, so flexibility, enthusiasm and a positive teamfocused attitude are essential!

Thisis a full-time position – 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working8-hour shifts between 7:30am and 5:30pm.
