Job summary

Mahitahi Trust in Auckland is seeking a Cultural Youth Support Worker to join our dedicated team, delivering culturally aligned mental health support and addiction services.

The Ahurea Tautoko role works with Whānau Whaiora to reconnect to whakapapa, culture, iwi and hapu, and to support aspirations through Tikanga Māori assessments and appropriate interventions.

Applicants should have at least 3 years in a cultural role, Te Reo proficiency preferred, and a proactive, professional can-do attitude.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of at least 3 years’ experience working in a cultural role.
  • Prefer a speaker and writer of Te Reo me ona Tikanga.
  • Ability to use Te Reo both written and spoken.
  • Well organised and disciplined in approach to work.
  • Experience working with Whānau Whaiora and Whānau.
  • Positive and professional can-do attitude.

Responsibilities
