Carry out appropriate clinical assessment and treatment of patients to a consistently high standard.
Works closely with other flight crew members to perform operational duties on our aircraft. Adheres to all aviation safety requirements in the performance of these duties.
Communicates positively with all staff, patients, family members, and medical personnel.
Completes documentation that accurately reports patient condition, times, and treatment.
Required to carry out training and portfolio work during downtime on base.
Required to maintain efficiency in winch rescue for all land and water operations.
Conducts themselves in a professional and courteous manner.
Here’s what you need:
Must have an Authority to Practice as a Critical Care Paramedic.
Must be registered and hold an Annual Practicing Certificate with specialist CCP endorsement with the New Zealand Paramedic Council.
Should hold a Bachelor of Health Science in Paramedicine with preference for those holding post Graduate Qualifications.
Have a high standard of written and oral communication.
Physically fit. You will be required to undergo a fitness test (Land and Water).
Must work well as a team under pressure.
Has a sound understanding of Health and Privacy laws.
Must be culturally sensitive.
Have strong swimming skills- experience in Surf Lifesaving would be an advantage.
Experience in helicopter operations and winching would be an advantage.
