Job summary

New Zealand Couriers in Hamilton is seeking a proactive Credit Controller for a 12-month fixed term based at our Hamilton Branch. You will manage customer accounts, maintain the debtor ledger and ensure timely payments.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you’ll collaborate with branches and internal teams to resolve queries, reconcile accounts and keep our ledgers accurate in a busy, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous credit control, accounts receivable, finance or similar administration experience.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Confidence communicating with customers about account and payment matters.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise your workload and work effectively in a busy environment.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach and a good sense of humour.

Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining customer accounts and the debtor ledger
• Following up outstanding accounts and payments
• Reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies
• Resolving customer account and billing queries
• Reviewing reports and identifying accounts requiring action
