Job summary

Imageland in Hamilton is seeking a permanent part-time Creative Services assistant. You will help customers in store, answer calls and emails, and support production teams in our lab and workshop. The role is 6.5 hours per week, with potential to reach 10.5 hours, primarily Saturdays 9am–4pm, with some flexibility Monday to Friday during term breaks.

A friendly, busy environment with décor, photography and art interest, plus basic maths and a positive can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or front-line roles.
• Strong attention to detail in handling in-store tasks.
• Basic maths skills for handling transactions and measurements.
• Able to work as part of a team in a busy retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in-store, over the phone, and via email.
• Support production teams in the lab and workshop as needed.

Imageland is a busy retail store in Frankton, Hamilton specialising in picture framing & photographic retail. We have a large, fully equipped picture framing workshop where we make all of our ready to go & custom frames here on site. Our photographic lab offers a range of scanning, restoration & printing services, including passport photos. We are also the only on site film developing lab in the Waikato.

The role is highly varied, but you would be primarily helping clients in store, on the phone & via e-mail. You would also be supporting our production teams in the lab & workshop as required. You should have an interest in décor, photography and/or art, enjoy helping clients achieve their vision, basic maths skills, a keen eye for detail & a positive 'can do' attitude.

The role is a minimum 6.5hours per week, which would be worked on Saturdays 9am - 4pm. It is also possible for the role to be up to 10.5 hours per week - this would be 6.5 hours on Saturday, with the additional hours flexible sometime during Monday to Friday to suit your study schedule. It is also possible for additional hours to be available during holidays, especially over the busy Christmas & summer period.
