Job summary

New World Papakura, part of Foodstuffs North Island, is seeking an experienced Commercial Baker for afternoon shifts in a busy, high-volume bakery. You will maintain production schedules and introduce new products while upholding quality.

The ideal candidate has bakery and supermarket experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, is physically fit, communicates well at all levels, and complies with food safety standards. Right to work in New Zealand is required.

Qualifications

• Commercial bakery experience required.
• Supermarket bakery experience preferred.
• Thrives in fast-paced environment.
• Physically capable to perform role duties.
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Comply with food safety and health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Producing high-quality bakery products daily while meeting production schedules and minimising wastage.
• Maintaining presentation standards and product freshness.
• Ensuring food safety and health and safety compliance.
• Assisting with cleaning and department hygiene.
• Contributing new ideas and seasonal bakery offerings.
• Helping create a destination bakery that customers talk about and return for.
