Job summary

Altus Group is seeking a Financial Analyst to model, develop, test, and support Excel-based valuation tools for the global CRE market. You’ll design dashboards, support client reporting, and help shape new Excel‑based products with a focus on accuracy and usability.

Reporting to the Director of Product Management, you’ll work in a people‑centric, flexible environment that emphasizes training, growth, and collaboration across teams and client projects. NZ-based applicants preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Engineering or Economics.
• Advanced knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Excel.
• 1–2 years’ experience in analytics, product testing or CRE valuations is ideal.
• CFA qualification (any level) would be a plus.
• Full working rights to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and test existing Excel products.
• Build technical knowledge of Excel-based Commercial & Residential models.
• Deliver new features to Excel products, including payment schedules.
• Implement product fixes for optimal functionality.
• Participate in new product scoping with technical insights.
• Design automated testing to ensure quality and reliability.
• Assist with Excel-based valuation models for different markets.
• Respond to advanced technical product support requests.
• Assist Sales to demonstrate capabilities to customers.
