Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking an experienced Joiner to join projects in Tauranga. You will read technical plans, select timber, measure and cut, and install items with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Start date is immediate with pay rate of $35–$40 per hour, depending on experience. Work is based in Tauranga Central, with long-term opportunities available and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Qualified Joiner or strong hands-on, on-the-tools experience.
• Ability to read plans and work to specifications.
• Strong measuring, cutting, shaping and fitting skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and work from technical plans, specifications and designs.
• Select suitable timber and materials for each job.
• Accurately measure and mark timber before cutting.
• Cut and shape timber using hand tools and machinery.
• Create and fit timber joints and components.
• Build and install items such as doors, windows and staircases.
