Job summary

Rightmove Recruitment Nz Limited in Christchurch is seeking an experienced Joiner to turn drawings into finished custom cabinetry and interior fit-outs. The role focuses on high-detail workshop work and on-site installations, with steady, week-by-week pay and a friendly team.

Expect to work Monday to Friday dayshift with pay rates from NZ$28 to NZ$35 per hour, depending on experience. A permanent role may be available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification and minimum of 2 years' experience
• Confident working in fast-paced, high-detail workshop
• Own tools & transport to get to work
• Proven experience as a joinery installer
• Confident with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of joinery techniques and materials
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to think on your feet and problem solve
• Full class 1 licence

Responsibilities

• Building and assembling custom cabinetry, joinery and fit-out components
• Working from technical drawings, plans and cutting schedules
• Measuring, cutting and preparing timber, laminates and sheet materials
• Running woodworking machinery, hand tools and power tools safely
• Installing hardware, finishing and quality checks through the build
• Assisting with onsite installation and fit-outs when needed
• Confidence reading plans, drawings and specifications
• Experience on woodworking machinery and general trade tools
• A sharp eye for detail and pride in your workmanship
• Reliable, on time, and consistent with your standards
• Full driver's licence and own transport preferred
