We are looking for a CPEng Structural engineer to be a key part of the team and take a leading technical role with design and mentoring . The position is based in the Hamilton office. You will be responsible for signing off on structural designs of structures in and around the North Island.

Mentor a small team.
Review and sign-off structural engineering design works and Producer Statements.
Independently carry out structural design and drafting work and deliver projects within the deadline.
Support the Structural Team by developing efficiencies in design processes, such as creating and providing input for calculation methodologies, spreadsheets, templates and software.
Support the team in the use of Revit 3D software.
Demonstrate regular engagement in Continuing Professional Development.
Carry out Construction Monitoring.
Maintaining client relations, developing new client relationships.
Maintaining CPEng registration.
Project management.
Candidates must demonstrate experience in the following software and disciplines:
Experience and in-depth understanding of the building code and relevant structural standards.
Ability and experience in providing practical structural solutions for residential and commercial buildings.
Knowledge of Residential Multi Level Housing.
Knowledge of the efficient design of Light Commercial Structures
Knowledge of Cold Rolled Steel use.
Software (CAD, MS Office, Spacegass, Mathcad, Revit, Etc).
Full New Zealand drivers license with the ability to drive a manual vehicle
Ability to communicate (spoken and written) sufficiently and fluently in English to a professional and proficient standard.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of New Zealand-based experience in Structural Engineering.
Education: University Degree in Civil or Structural
Professional Status: Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)
