Ministry of Justice in Christchurch is seeking a Court Victim Advisor to support victims through the court process and ensure they are kept informed and able to participate effectively in the criminal justice system.

You will work with diverse communities, demonstrate resilience, and travel to multiple courts within your cluster as required. A tertiary qualification or relevant experience in family violence is desirable, with 4.4 weeks annual leave and flexible working options where possible.

Qualifications

• Be a confident communicator with sound judgment.
• Strong abilities in creating and maintaining effective relationships.
• Be a strong team player who can manage conflicting priorities and move between tasks confidently.
• A relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in the family violence sector is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Keep victims updated on the progress of their case and help them participate effectively in the criminal justice system.
• The position holder will provide services to several courts within their cluster or region, including travel where necessary.
