The Ministry of Justice (New Zealand) is seeking a Court Security Officer for Huntly, Waikato. This permanent, full-time role involves engaging with the public, maintaining safety, and supporting court operations. The position runs Monday to Friday, with paid overtime when required. A full NZ driver’s licence and clear criminal record are required, along with a commitment to Te Tiriti

Qualifikationen

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Security, Defence or Government background is desirable but not essential.
• Must be comfortable with technology and security systems.
• De-escalation skills are valued.
• Must hold a full clean New Zealand driver’s licence and have a clean criminal record.
• Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Maori Tikanga is relevant to the role.

Aufgaben

• Engage and build relationships with a diverse range of people.
• Security screening and operate CCTV/electronic access control systems.
• Coordinate with Police, Corrections, lawyers, and judicial officers for safe proceedings.
• Patrol public areas, perform security checks, respond to alarms, and report threats.
