Job summary

Ministry of Justice - New Zealand's Hamilton District Court is seeking a Court Registry Officer to join our team. You will liaise with judges, court staff and parties, handling court taking, case management and customer service with high accuracy.

The role requires a full clean New Zealand driving licence and offers a diverse, people-centred work environment. Applications close 12/11/2026, with a salary band of NZD 60,729 to 80,794 per year.

Responsibilities

• Court Taking: facilitate court proceedings, interact with Judges, jurors and staff.
• Case Management: ensure parties have needed information and logistics are set.
• Customer Service: respond to queries via face-to-face, phone or email.
• Travel within Waikato Courts may be required with a full clean NZ driving licence.
