Job summary

Kāinga Ora is seeking a detail-oriented Coordinator - Placement and Rehousing to join the Regional Placement team in Dunedin. You will support placement and rehousing by coordinating processes that help customers transition into suitable homes and maintain accurate records.

Working with Advisors Placement and Rehousing, you will match customers to properties, coordinate logistics, and deliver services efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate placement and rehousing activities to support positive outcomes for whānau.
  • Identify suitable matches for available homes and support placement alongside Advisors Placement and Rehousing.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and ensure information is captured timeliness.
  • Manage rehousing logistics: movers, quotes, invoices, correspondence, and key activities.
  • Prepare documentation and update customer and property information; complete system tasks.
  • Provide accurate reporting and data management to support regional placement activity.
  • Collaborate with Housing and Wellbeing, Property, Awhi Rito Hub, and external agencies.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance systems and customer experience.

## Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role* Play a key role in matching customers and whānau to the right homes* Join a collaborative and customer-focused regional team* 5-month fixed term/secondment opportunity**Te whiwhinga mahi - Our opportunity**We're looking for an organised and customer-focused Coordinator - Placement and Rehousing to join our Regional Placement team.In this role, you'll support the delivery of placement and rehousing services by coordinating the processes that help customers and whānau transition into suitable homes. Working closely with Advisors Placement and Rehousing, you'll play a critical role in matching customers to properties, maintaining accurate records, coordinating rehousing logistics, and ensuring placement activities are delivered efficiently and professionally.This is a varied role that combines administration, coordination, stakeholder engagement, and customer support.
