Job summary

Merrivale Care Home in Whangarei is seeking a Cook/Chef to join the Kitchen team on a casual basis. You will plan and implement menus, prepare meals, and ensure nutrition and resident needs are met with care and creativity.

Join a passionate team dedicated to enriching the lives of residents. Applicants must have the relevant NZQA culinary qualification (preferred) and at least 1 year of experience, with reliable transport and legal entitlement to work in NZ.

What About You

• A relevant NZQA culinary qualification or equivalent is preferred and a minimum of 1 year of experience is essential.

• Ensure resident confidentiality.
• Reliable transport or travel arrangements.
• Applicants must be legally entitled to work in NZ.
