Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience designing, implementing and maintaining industrial control systems (oil and gas preferred).
Proficiency with PLC/DCS platforms (Honeywell, Siemens, Emerson).
Knowledge of SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols.
Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent operator in the oil and gas sector , is seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join their operational team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This role focuses on the design, implementation, and maintenance of sophisticated industrial automation and control systems that are critical for plant safety and efficiency. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS). The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in industrial automation, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to operational excellence in a plant environment.
