Job summary

Datacom is seeking an experienced Databricks Data Consultant to join us on a 3-month contract engagement in Hamilton, New Zealand. You will design and deliver scalable data solutions across cloud environments, focusing on Databricks, Spark, and modern data pipelines.

You'll work with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate requirements into production-ready data platforms, ETL/ELT processes, and reliable data models, delivering value quickly for customer projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' hands-on Databricks experience.
• Strong knowledge of Databricks architecture, features and implementation.
• Experience with DBT and/or Coalesce.
• Programming skills in Python, Scala, Java, or C#.
• Experience with Apache Spark and relational databases.
• Experience across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience deploying production data pipelines.
• Consulting and stakeholder engagement skills.

This is a hands-on consulting role suited to someone with strong Databricks expertise who can quickly understand customer requirements, work effectively with technical and business stakeholders, and contribute to the design and delivery of data solutions.
