Job summary

Lyttelton Port Company (LPC) is seeking a Container Handler Equipment Operator to join our CityDepot team at the Woolston Industrial area in Christchurch. This role focuses on safety while operating container handling equipment, including empty container handlers and top loaders, within a busy depot on a 24/5 roster.

You will drive equipment, move containers, and support wash and survey workflows. A clean NZ Class 1 licence is required, with F endorsement advantageous.

Qualifications

• Current, clean NZ Class 1 driver’s licence is required.
• F endorsement and heavy plant experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive empty container handlers and top loaders.
• Move containers to designated locations.
• Safely move containers within the yard, on/off trucks and rail.
• Deliver containers to wash workshop pre-trip and survey areas.
