Job summary

The Barracks Ltd in New Zealand is seeking experienced Building & Construction Technicians for a full-time Waikato-based role with occasional relocation to other NZ regions.

You will contribute to residential, commercial and civil projects, perform site set-out, framing, and construction tasks, and uphold high health and safety standards while delivering quality workmanship. Opportunities for progression and longer-term work are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant construction experience.
• Ability to carry out a range of building and construction tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual construction work.
• Strong understanding of safe work practices and site safety requirements.
• Ability to complete basic site documentation and paperwork.
• Professional attitude, reliability and strong work ethic.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality construction work while following plans and specifications.
• Maintain health and safety standards on all worksites.
• Collaborate with team across residential, commercial and civil projects.
• Assist with site documentation, measurements and quality inspections.
• Operate hand and power tools and manage construction materials.
• Ensure worksites are clean, organized and compliant with project requirements.
