Job summary

The Barracks Ltd in Auckland is seeking an experienced Building & Construction Technician to join our nationwide team on a variety of residential, commercial and civil projects. You will be working across site preparation, framing, cladding and civil works, ensuring high-quality workmanship and strong safety standards.

You will contribute to a range of construction activities from foundation to final finishes, with opportunities for career progression and skills development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant construction experience, or similar.
• Ability to carry out a range of building and construction tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual construction work.
• Strong understanding of safe work practices and site safety requirements.
• Ability to complete basic site documentation and paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Work across residential, commercial and civil construction projects.
• Site preparation, demolition, excavation and site set-out.
• Foundation, framing and structural construction works.
• Installation of framing, insulation, drywall and other building systems.
• Formwork, concrete, plaster and steel reinforcement works.
• Civil works including trenching, roadworks and driveways.
• Quality inspections and basic project documentation.
• Maintain safe, clean and organised worksites.
