The ideal candidate has a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, strong regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication skills for proactive hazard prevention across projects in the region. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
• Registered with a professional body (e.g., SAIOSH).
• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of OHS Act and related legislation.
• Strong communication, training, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop safety procedures effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Health and Safety management system.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide safety training and toolbox talks to site personnel and subcontractors.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with legal requirements and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, and incidents.
