Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Nelson is seeking a Project Manager, Construction to lead the projects team in the successful execution and delivery of civil construction projects up to $10m. You’ll oversee contract administration, set performance expectations with foremen and crews, and coordinate resources to minimise downtime.

The role requires a Civil Engineering Diploma or equivalent experience, 5–10 years in roading/construction, and strong leadership with excellent stakeholder management and commercial

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering Diploma or equivalent industry experience.
• Roading and Construction experience (5-10 years).
• Significant project experience in civil infrastructure and roading.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with client/stakeholder relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen and leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the projects team in the successful execution and delivery of construction projects (up to $10m).
• Manage and direct contract administration, understand contractual requirements and expectations.
• Set performance expectations with Foremen/ Supervisors and construction crews; monitor performance.
• Ensure forward planning, organising and ordering of subbies, material, plant and people to minimise downtime.
• Contribute to other duties or projects as reasonably requested.
