Job summary

Webuild S.p.A. in New Zealand seeks a Site Materials Controller to manage end-to-end material control, warehousing and site logistics for a major infrastructure project.

Based in Christchurch, you will ensure materials are planned, stored and delivered to support continuous site operations. You will collaborate with procurement, construction and project teams to optimise material flow, track inventory and report on stock levels and forecasting, while upholding safety, quality and project

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in materials control, logistics management or supply chain roles within construction, infrastructure or engineering environments.
• Experience managing inventory systems, warehousing operations and material tracking processes.
• Strong understanding of procurement interfaces, logistics planning and supply chain management principles.
• Proficiency in ERP, inventory management or materials control systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project-wide materials management and logistics strategies.
• Coordinate receipt, inspection, storage, handling and distribution of project materials.
• Establish and maintain accurate inventory management and material tracking systems.
• Monitor stock levels and material availability to align with construction schedules.
• Manage warehousing operations, storage facilities and material control processes.
• Coordinate delivery schedules, transport providers and site logistics activities.
• Work with procurement to track purchase orders, lead times and critical materials.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain, storage and logistics risks.
• Produce regular reports on inventory, material status, logistics performance and forecasting.
• Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure efficient material flow.
• Ensure compliance with quality, security and HSE standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across material control and logistics.
