Job summary

Calder Stewart is looking for a passionate Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator to support and promote safe practices across Christchurch construction sites. You will work with managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure company Health & Safety standards are met and that all personnel stay safe on site.

The ideal candidate will be committed to safety, meticulous about document control, and capable of training site teams to uphold obligations and legal requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to promoting safe working practices.
• Meticulous about meeting legal and contractual requirements.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Pedantic about document control and processes.
• Ability to train and mentor site personnel to achieve Health and Safety obligations.

Responsibilities

• Promote and support safe working practices at Calder Stewart sites in Christchurch.
• Collaborate with managers, clients, supervisors, and sub-contractors to meet Health & Safety standards.
• Ensure employees and sub-contractors are kept safe at work.
• Assist in implementing Health & Safety programs and training.
