Job summary

Rocket Lab in New Zealand is seeking an experienced aerospace technician to work on the Neutron project, focusing on pressurised tanks, unpressurised sections and fairings on S1 and S2 structures. You will collaborate with R&D and customers to deliver test campaigns at various scales.

The role requires advanced prepreg manufacturing knowledge, core bonding and splicing skills, plus strong communication and a proactive lean-production mindset to meet timelines.

Qualifications

  • Top tier, advanced prepreg manufacturing knowledge.
  • Experience with core bonding and splicing.
  • Broad manufacturing industry experience and strong communication skills.
  • Basic IT skills and proficiency in technical documentation.
  • 3+ years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on pressurised tanks, unpressurised sections and fairings on S1/S2 structures of the Neutron launch vehicle.
  • Collaborate with R&D and internal/external customers to action and deliver test campaigns at various scales.
  • Support lean production philosophy, cost reduction, and timely delivery of components.
  • Help mitigate handling/logistics issues and ensure design-to-spec feasibility.
  • Contribute to future opportunities as Neutron moves into production and AIT facilities.
