Job summary

Tower New Zealand in Auckland is seeking a Compliance and Privacy lead on a 9-month fixed-term contract. You’ll partner with leaders to embed a strong culture of compliance across the business and provide expert guidance on regulatory and licensing obligations.

You’ll monitor regulatory changes, prepare reporting for governance, and drive continuous improvement of the compliance framework across New Zealand and the Pacific, ensuring fair customer outcomes and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience in risk and compliance within the financial services sector.
• Experience developing and maintaining compliance frameworks, obligations management, regulatory change tracking and attestation processes.
• Experience preparing regulatory returns with stakeholder input and timely reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert compliance and privacy advice to Tower, aligning with regulatory requirements and customer focus.
• Lead and enhance Tower's compliance framework, identifying risks and driving corrective actions.
• Prepare and present compliance and privacy reporting and insights to leadership and governance forums.
• Assess incidents, regulatory breaches, and remediation activities to minimise risk and protect customers.
• Foster a strong compliance culture through training, policy development and monitoring across NZ and the Pacific.
