Job summary

Qualifications

• Audits & reviews using a risk-based approach to assess compliance.
• Interpret and apply legislation, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong risk assessment skills to identify compliance issues and actions.
• Gathering, analysing, and documenting information to support audits.
• High attention to detail with solid documentation and record-keeping.
• Effective communication across internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Te Ao Māori and willingness to learn about Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or regulatory environment experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, undertake, and decide on audits and reviews of regulated parties.
• Collect, analyse, and evaluate information to identify non-compliance or risk.
• Prepare clear assessments, findings, and recommendations with evidence.
• Maintain accurate records in line with legislation, privacy, and information management.
• Travel across regions to engage with operators and inform decisions.
