Job summary

Spectrum Care is seeking a Community Support Worker for our Residential team in West Auckland. This full-time role is 40 hours per week and provides high-level support with personal cares, feeding and mobility for four residents.

You must be fluent in English, patient and empathetic. Duties include companionship, coordinating GP appointments, medication management and transportation. A NZ driver’s licence is essential and you must pass a police check.

Qualifications

• Fluent English (verbal and written)
• Experience supporting people with disabilities is desirable
• NZ driver’s licence required
• Able to pass NZ police check
• Computer literacy (Word, Internet, email)

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and support with daily living tasks and personal cares
• Arrange GP appointments and manage medications
• Transport clients to activities and appointments
• Communicate effectively with family, colleagues and the person supported
