Job summary

Spectrum Care is seeking a Community Support Worker for residential support in North Auckland. You will assist adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities with daily living tasks, social participation, and community activities in a person-centred approach.

The role requires empathy, reliability, and excellent communication with clients, families, and staff. A NZ driver's license and ability to pass a police check are essential.

Qualifications

• Empathy for the challenges of trying to build an ordinary life while living with a disability.
• Energy to keep up with someone who likes to be on the go a lot.
• Ability to remain calm, and calming, in all situations.
• Resilience to help people keep boundaries to ensure their safety.
• Good at explaining and negotiating.
