Job summary

Tend Health Ltd in Christchurch is seeking a proactive Primary Care Assistant (PCA) to join our Beckford clinic. In this full-time role you’ll support patients and clinicians, helping the clinic run smoothly and delivering friendly care from first contact through to after-visit updates.

You’ll be organised, adaptable and keen to grow in healthcare. NZQA Level 3 or 4 or higher is preferred, with strong communication skills across face-to-face, phone and digital channels.

Qualifications

• NZQA Level 3 or 4 in a relevant field or higher.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required.
• Excellent written and spoken communication across channels.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and communicate with patients face-to-face, by phone or digitally.
• Onboard new patients and create a great first impression.
• Assist clinicians with day-to-day clinical activities and minor procedures.
• Chaperone examinations when required.
• Update patient information and measurements within scope.
• Support clinical performance targets and audits with the Clinical Nurse Lead.
• Manage and restock clinical equipment and linen.
• Keep clinical and patient areas clean and ready for the day.
• Pitch in with general clinic duties and assist the wider team.
