Job summary

Healthvision in Hamilton seeks a dedicated care assistant to support clients at home with personal care, daily living activities, meals, and light tasks, promoting independence and dignity. You will join a long-standing support team and work both with clinicians and families to improve quality of life.

Ideal for students in Nursing, Physiotherapy, or Health Sciences seeking practical experience. Must have NZ driver’s license and be flexible for rotating rosters.

Qualifications

• The candidate preferably has Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must.
• Familiarity with complex medical conditions is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with daily living while promoting independence and dignity.
• Assist with meal preparation, light household tasks, and gardening.
• Build a positive relationship with the client and become part of a long-standing support team.
• Work independently while contributing to the client's goals and quality of life
