Job summary

Access Community Health seeks experienced Support Workers to assist clients in their homes across the Waimakariri region. You will provide compassionate, person‑centred care, helping with daily living, mobility, and health needs while respecting culture and personal values.

Roles offer flexible hours including evenings, training pathways, and opportunities to develop in a supportive team focused on equitable community care.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 or 4 Health & Wellbeing qualification or equivalent experience.
• Spinal injury experience preferred.
• Stoma management and hoist operation experience.
• Experience administering prescribed medication.
• Commitment to culturally safe, person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Provide in‑home support with activities of daily living and health needs.
• Deliver safe, respectful, and person‑centred care mindful of culture and boundaries.
• Support clients with dementia, mental health, palliative and medication needs.
• Assist with mobility including hoists and manual handling as required.
