Job summary

IHC New Zealand is seeking part-time Support Workers for the North Shore Community Hub in Northcote. You will help people with intellectual disabilities engage in activities, attend events, and connect with the community. The role emphasizes fun, social connections, and empowering people to live fulfilling lives.

No prior experience is required; a positive attitude and good communication are valued. A NZ driver's licence and comfort with computers/tablets are important, with shifts Wed–Fri

Qualifications

• No prior experience required, but a positive attitude and willingness to help others are essential.
• Be comfortable using computers and tablets as part of daily tasks.
• Have a Full NZ driver’s licence and a patient, calm approach when supporting people.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to participate in art, music, cooking, or fitness activities.
• Help people attend community events and connect with local groups.
• Assist with outings in the wider community and support social connections.
• Encourage people to try new things and achieve their goals.
