Placements24 has a role for a Recreational Facilities Officer to manage and maintain public facilities. Qualifications

• Experience in facilities maintenance or management, preferably in a public or community setting.
• Basic knowledge of groundskeeping, facility upkeep, and safety procedures.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of community needs and recreational activities.
• A relevant certificate in Facility Management or a related area is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of recreational facilities, including parks, sports fields, and community halls.
• Ensure facilities are clean, safe, and properly maintained, coordinating minor repairs and liaising with maintenance departments.
• Manage facility bookings and schedules, ensuring efficient utilization and user satisfaction.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and report any safety hazards or maintenance requirements.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of community recreational events and programs.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
