Job summary

Green by Nature in Queenstown is seeking an Asset Maintenance Operator to maintain playgrounds, sports areas and park assets across the district. You will perform basic handyman tasks, inspections and minor repairs, and help keep public spaces safe and welcoming.

A full driver’s licence is essential, and while a Playground Inspection Course Level 2 is preferred, training will be provided. The role offers guaranteed hours, a performance-based salary, and opportunities to develop with a

Qualifications

Broad range of handyman skills and maintenance experience preferred.
Playground Inspection and Maintenance Course Level 2 preferred, training provided.
Must have a full driver’s licence and be able to drive a manual vehicle.
High attention to detail, strong work ethic and safety mindset.
Excellent communication, reliability, punctuality and teamwork.
Ability to work flexible hours to meet client requirements.

Responsibilities

Maintain Queenstown Lakes District Council playgrounds, sports courts, equipment, BBQs, bus shelters, waterways and park assets.
Perform basic handyman tasks, inspections, minor repairs, aeration, cleaning and refurbishments.
Asset validation of park assets and support to the wider Lakes District team when needed.
