Presbyterian Support Otago is seeking a warm, organised Community Partnerships Coordinator to help build and sustain meaningful relationships with donors, supporters, volunteers, churches, schools, businesses and community groups across Otago.

The role focuses on donor stewardship, fundraising activity, supporter communications, accurate CRM management, and coordinating engagement opportunities that connect the community with PSO’s mission and services.

Qualifications

  • Experience in fundraising, donor stewardship, community engagement, or not‑for‑profit sectors is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage donor records accurately and use CRM systems effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with donors, supporters, volunteers, churches, schools, businesses, and community groups.
  • Support donor stewardship, including acknowledgements, communications, updates, and impact reporting.
  • Maintain accurate supporter and stakeholder records in PSO’s CRM system.
  • Assist with fundraising campaigns, appeals, events, and community engagement activities.
  • Coordinate practical arrangements for donor and supporter engagement opportunities.
  • Support the Development & Engagement team with administration, reporting, and communications.
  • Represent PSO professionally and warmly in interactions with supporters and community stakeholders.

Presbyterian Support Otago is looking for a warm, organised relationship-builder to help grow and sustain the community connections that support our work across Otago.

This part-time role sits within our Development & Engagement team and supports donor stewardship, community partnerships, fundraising activity, and supporter engagement.

About the Role

As our Community Partnerships Coordinator, you will help to build, maintain, and grow meaningful relationships with donors, supporters, volunteers, churches, schools, businesses, and community groups.

You will play an important role in donor stewardship, fundraising activities, supporter communications, accurate CRM management, and coordination of engagement opportunities that connect the community with PSO’s mission and services.

Hours: This is a permanent part-time position working 20 hours per week. Some evening, weekend, and local travel may be required to support events and community activities.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with donors, supporters, volunteers, churches, schools, businesses, and community groups.
  • Support donor stewardship, including acknowledgements, communications, updates, and impact reporting.
  • Maintain accurate supporter and stakeholder records in PSO’s CRM system.
  • Assist with fundraising campaigns, appeals, events, and community engagement activities.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will be someone who:

  • Enjoys building genuine relationships with a diverse range of people.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is highly organised, accurate, and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrates initiative and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Is confident using databases, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office applications.

Experience in fundraising, donor stewardship, community engagement, events, administration, customer engagement, relationship management, or the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.
