Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Lakes is recruiting a District Nursing Registered Nurse for Rotorua. The role involves daily community visits, home-based treatments, patient education, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

As a Registered Nurse, you will assess and plan care, document thoroughly, and support whānau. This is a permanent 0.6 FTE position within a district nursing team serving the Lakes region.

Qualifications

Hold New Zealand Nursing Council registration (NCNZ).
Hold a current Practicing Certificate
Hold a current drivers licence for both manual and automatic vehicles.
Have evidence of practicing at Level 3 of an approved PDRP programme.
Have at least 3-5 years post graduate nursing experience in an acute medical/surgical setting.
Possess Advanced IV management (CVAD), Port-A-Cath, PICC, Midline experience

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, and implement care programmes for district nursing in the community.
Conduct daily patient visits with a focus on education and documentation.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across primary and secondary settings.
Support patient and whānau education and delivery of home-based treatments.
Actively manage clinical needs and communicate with the wider health care team.
