Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current Practising Certificate.
• 3–5 years of varied nursing experience including acute, surgical and medical settings.
• Full clean driver’s licence required.
• Must be registered with the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003.

Responsibilities

• Provide district nurse services and comprehensive care in the community.
• Administer intravenous medications and wound care; manage catheters and palliative care.
• Support safe discharge planning and liaison with GPs, Hospice and residential facilities.
• Deliver patient-centred care across diverse settings in the Oamaru area.
• Adapt and develop clinical skills as a specialist generalist in community nursing.
