Job summary

Kiwibank in the Waikato region is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to partner with our Business Advisors and help customers achieve their business goals through practical lending solutions.

In this highly autonomous role you will manage your own portfolio, assess credit, structure fit-for-purpose lending, and deliver timely outcomes while balancing risk and client needs. Residential lending support is also part of the role as required.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in business and commercial banking, including credit analysis, lending assessments, and complex deal structuring.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes across a broad stakeholder network.
• Sound commercial judgement and confidence making quality lending decisions within delegated authority.
• Solutions focused, with a passion for helping customers and colleagues succeed.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to partner with our Business Advisors and help customers achieve their business goals through practical lending solutions.

As a trusted lending partner, you will support a broad range of business and commercial lending opportunities, working alongside Business Advisors to understand customer needs, structure fit for purpose solutions, and deliver timely outcomes.

Building strong relationships across a wide network of internal stakeholders will be key to your success. You will bring people together, navigate complexity, and use your influence to help progress opportunities and create great customer experiences.

This is a highly autonomous role where you will manage your own portfolio, priorities, and relationships while applying sound commercial judgement to deliver quality lending outcomes.

While commercial lending sits at the core of the role, you will also support residential and home lending opportunities, helping advisors provide holistic banking solutions that meet customers' broader needs.

Success in this role comes from balancing strong lending expertise with a customer first mindset. You will be confident making quality lending decisions, comfortable operating at pace, and motivated by finding solutions that support customers while effectively managing risk.
